Let’s review the new BikeErg (Buy on Amazon) from Concept2.
BikeErg is a piece of conditioning equipment by Concept2 made with much effort on detail, quality, and function. Instead of manufacturing multiple types of equipment, Concept2 focuses on being an expert on just a couple of fitness machines with a quality over quantity mindset.

BikeErg – Overview
BikeErg is not a regular air bike, and it has no handles. It is primarily a vertical rower using the same flywheel and performance monitor as Concept2’s Indoor Rowers and SkiErgs. It uses a fan system with fan blades and air to produce resistance and has very distinct benefits over other types of resistance. With the fan system, the quicker you pedal, the more friction you feel. There is a damper on the flywheel, and you can control how much air enters the fan giving you more resistance. There are ten damper settings, and you can set it to the most air and being the most complicated.
The PM5 Performance Monitor gives a wide array of prompt data feedback, including watts, pace, cadence (rpm), and calories. The PM5 has both Bluetooth and ANT + wireless selections, so you can easily connect to most wireless heart rate belts, as well as Concept2’s ErgData app and other third-party apps. The PM5 is one of the most state-of-the-art rowing machine monitors in the market, and it is also programmed for cycling.
BikeErg has a welded aluminum frame making it so light and easy to move around. But though it is so light, it can reliably hold users weighing up to 300 lb. The handlebars are entirely adjustable, which means you can quickly modify the handlebars’ height and horizontal position. Almost every component of the bike is interchangeable, from the handlebars to the seat post.
BikeErg Review – In Summary
That’s our review of the BikeErg (Buy on Amazon) from Concept2.
It may have only a five-year warranty, but this is Concept2 we are talking about – their machines are made to last. The combination of an air bike with a spin cycle is compelling, but Concept2 made it possible with precision installations, durability, and handy portability. Besides cycling, you can also use it to warm up before a workout or cool down after a workout.
